Djoudj National Bird Sanctuary

Just outside of St. Louis is a national bird sanctuary where beautiful migratory birds come in the winter seasons to nest and feed. You can find pelicans, flamingos, ducks, herons, egrets and more. The park also is home to reptiles and wild warthogs. This attractions is about 1 hour from St Louis by car.

Guembeul Natural Reserve

Guembeul Natural Reserve is a nature preserve featuring many types of fauna and flora. It includes large game, and monkeys, birds, tortoises and other reptiles. It is about 30 minutes from St Louis by car.
